Flower of Life Generator

The pattern that crosses Egyptian temples and Renaissance art, built before your eyes: from the first Vesica Piscis to Metatron's Cube, each stage is a circle honoring the ones before it.

What you are seeing

The mathematics

A single rule generates everything: circles of equal radius whose centers fall on a hexagonal grid with spacing equal to the radius. Each circle passes through the centers of its neighbors; the Seed holds 7, the classic Flower 19 and the Fruit 13.

Nature

The hexagonal grid is nature's answer to filling the plane with economy: honeycombs, coral colonies and soap bubbles converge to the same 120 degrees that organize the Flower.

The symbol

Drawn on columns of the temple of Osiris at Abydos and studied by Leonardo da Vinci, the Flower of Life is read as a map of creation: from the one to the many, circle by circle. From its Fruit, tradition draws Metatron's Cube.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is the Flower of Life?

It is a pattern of overlapping circles of equal radius, arranged on a hexagonal grid where each circle passes through the centers of its neighbors. The classic form gathers 19 complete circles wrapped in a double frame.

What is the difference between the Seed, Flower and Fruit of Life?

They are stages of the same construction: the Seed gathers the first 7 circles, the Flower expands the grid to 19 and the Fruit highlights 13 tangent, non-overlapping circles, from which tradition traces Metatron's Cube.

Does the Flower of Life really appear in Egypt?

Yes: there are examples drawn on columns of the Osireion at Abydos, whose exact dating is still debated by researchers. The pattern also appears in Roman mosaics, Islamic art and Leonardo's studies.

Can I use the drawing I create?

Yes. The SVG and PNG downloads are free for personal and educational use; just keep the reference to the Geometria Sagrada portal when sharing.

How do I draw the Flower of Life on paper?

With a compass alone: draw a circle, mark a point on its edge and draw another of the same radius; every new intersection is the center of the next. This tool follows exactly that rule; the portal's eBook teaches the full hand construction.

The Initiatory Map of Sacred Geometry, our eBook, teaches how to build these patterns with ruler and compass, at a draftsman's pace. Leave your email to receive news from the Lab and the portal.
